Thank you for your interest in submitting to Slinkmag. Our submission guide is a work in progress, so check back often while we polish it.
We are a very small staff who are collectively dedicated to reading and responding to the submissions we receive.
Submissions must be original, unpublished articles about or related to Second Life® or virtual worlds in general. We accept articles about in World experiences as well as real life applications of Second Life® or the business of virtual worlds. We also accept photo or machinima submissions provided they are original, interesting and previously unpublished work. While we currently do not have a minimum or maximum word count, please be concise and within a reasonable range.
If submitting fashion images or articles, please remember to include a full style card referencing the names of designer, outfit, skin, eyes, poses, locations and include Slurls to all purchase points.
For events, please include date, time, full description of your event and any pertinent information including SLurls and we will post it. Incomplete event listings will not be posted. Please submit events via email.
For designers – if you are interested in your fashions being shown or reviewed on Slinkmag, please send all press releases to gina@slinkmag.com, outfits and stylecards to either Mari Malaspina or Mona Yangtz in-World with a note about yourself, your designs and Slurls to your shops. Slinkmag is in no way obligated to use your designs or feature them, but we will let you know if they will be featured and what coverage we will give if accepted.
When referencing any of Linden Labs brands, please remember to use the proper reference to it as shown here: http://secondlife.com/corporate/brand/trademark/reference.php or we will not accept it for publication.
Submit your story or high res images as an attachment to an e-mail to gina@slinkmag.com with a cc to darlene@slinkmag.com. Digital photos can be attached as separate files.
Please include suggested photo captions, SLurls and name any identifiable persons, builds or places in the photos.
By submitting your stories and photos to Slinkmag, you are granting Slinkmag perpetual, irrevocable, and non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt and publish your stories and photos.
Slinkmag is in no way obligated to use your stories and photos. We will give photo and story credit whenever possible.
