Let’s Talk about SLex: BNI Designs

WARNING STRONG SEXUAL CONTENT!!!

BNIEVENT

Second Life has much to offer and tons of it is PG. There is however a sexual side to Second Life and with it tons of businesses have sprung up to cater to the kinks and desires of lusty residents.

I’ve seen it all in my time on the grid. Penises that operate and controlled on HUDs (Heads Up Displays), prim nipples one attaches to their avatar to achieve a more real look, vibrators, bondage equipment, blindfolds, ball gags, etc. If it exists in real life, it exists in Second Life and then some.

I’m not often impressed by pixelated sex equipment. I mean come on, it’s pixels!

Enter BNI Designs and the genius scripter behind the equipment – Kent Ozigard and his lovely partner Corina Skytower. They invited me over to check out their store and equipment. First thought, why the hell not but doubt I’ll see anything other than the usual St. Andrew’s Cross and some kind of wonky table with cuffs attached. So I took the teleport and popped on over.

I rezzed into a large open space filled with light and holy crap, fuck machines. Big, industrial sex machines. Wow. As I walked through the store, Kent and Corina explained the various functions of the machines and I was just blown away.

The textures were simple and elegant. The machines looked real. Not that I’ve ever seen anything like them in real life, but still. These things were amazing. Each machine had several functions, a menu with a variety of options and accompanying toys. They are very high-end and incredibly well done. There are two lines of toys, one in chrome and one in wood. They can be used by one or two people at the same time and all toys have cuffs that chain the user down to the toy. The dildos are texture changeable and all come with vibration abilities. Cuffs are included in all toys.

One of Kent’s favorites is the single pose toy called the AutoMan – an innocent looking ottoman (get it, automan/ottoman?) that when clicked suddenly springs up with points that chains attach to, a vibrating dildo rises up from the center of the seat and awayyyy you go. When you’re done with your fun, hop off the pose ball and all vestiges of naughtiness disappear right back into the seat and the ottoman is innocent once again.

To find out more about BNI Design’s really unique sex toy line, check them out at Fallen Angels strip club for the first in a series of demo events showcasing their line of equipment.

Shayn did most of the building while Kent scripted all the equipment. Kent is a relatively new resident to Second Life with a background in programming.

Finding Poetry in the Temple of Sighs

Posted by Mari Malaspina On October - 17 - 2009

secretland

There are hidden places in SL, secret places that hide magic and dreams.

A princess seeking knowledge and beauty wandered for days and nights to find a place she had heard only in whispers. “Mayhap you will find The Temple of Sighs”, said the whispers. “Within that ancient and lonely place is an oracle, a beauteous goddess that relies on a magic sculpture called the Thirteen Winds. In that is knowledge, poetry and art”.

Finally, when it seemed she’d never find it, she climbed up a massive mountain and came upon a vale with ancient columns. The light glowed the sacred purple of the goddess’ gown and with a gentle nod from the goddess, the princess touched upon the sculpture which gave her the knowledge of the thirteen winds.

Woody, or When Hunts Go Wrong

Posted by Mari Malaspina On September - 1 - 2009

Woody and his woody (er shoe)

One of the things I spend a lot of time on in Second Life are hunts. Grid-wide, store, sim – if it’s some kind of a hunt, Jaily Bailey and I are there with bells on. We wear our low lag clothes and hair, work together and hunt, hunt, hunt.

I’ve met amazing people on hunts and found great stores. I’ve battled the lag monster, crashed or teleported under buildings instead of in them. Hunt gifts range from the amazing, to the ordinary and finally, to the “holy hell what the hell were they thinking and why would anyone want that” categories.

There are stores like Nushru that I really love. Landing there always makes me smile because I land in a Monet-like field of flowers, the hunt gifts are not impossible to find and there are always pretty dresses to ooh and ah over. Stores like that just make me smile and want to come back.

My friends and I are currently working on a few hunts. There is the Cinderella’s Slipper Hunt, the Slice of Summer, a Shopping Bag hunt, Passions and a few others. We’re busy girls.

I was working on Cinderella and things were going great till I hit a rough patch. The sim we were on (not giving the name because the hunt is still going on and I don’t want to ruin it for anyone) was beyond laggy and moving was a chore. To top it off, we couldn’t find the slipper to save our lives. The hint was “Hello mari Malaspina, Uh, “Woody” bird is happy to see you.” Well we searched and searched and we did find a wooden bird but couldn’t find that darned slipper. I also fell off a wall about five times and walked into them even more. Call me Grace – in SL I am as clumsy as in real life only without the bruises and scrapes. Thank God for my indestructible second skin.

I crashed twice in the process and was getting really annoyed when I noticed that the wooden bird had a REALLY large penis. I mean it was BIG. I started wondering, “why the hell does a bird have a penis?” and I clicked on it. Yeah, I know – I’m a naughty wench. So I click the penis and it says it’s the Cinderella’s slipper. IT DID NOT LOOK ANYTHING LIKE A SHOE!! Nor did it look like any of the other shoes I’d seen in the hunt. Nope it was obviously meant to be disguised as a penis, especially when coupled with the hint “Woody bird is happy to see you”. I’m not easily offended, in fact I would have found it hilarious if it had not been so intentionally misleading.

Well Woody, glad you were happy to see me, even happier that I found the penis, er shoe and yeah baby, I’m going to the ball!

**since the writing of this post, the sim owner (an awesome person with a great sense of humor) moved from the laggy sim and is happily designing fun clothes that look great on.
