About Us

We know that Second Life® is almost as important as your first life. You’ve invested a lot of time into designing your avatar, building your home and picking places to inhabit. Slinkmag wants to help you get the most out of your Second Life® experience by becoming your reference guide and constant companion. Think of us as your own personal Second Life® GPS. Slinkmag will help you find the hot places to visit, the cool people to talk to, and the provocative places to be seen. If there’s something worth knowing about in Second Life®, Slinkmag will bring it to you.

We can show you all that Second Life® has to offer. We seek to bring you the best of the grid and will present thought-provoking articles from real world applications of Second Life®. We will cover the business of the growing markets in the virtual worlds. Mostly, we want to share our love of a good story. We see Second Life® as being all about stories and we intend to tell them with humor and a sense of wonder.

Slinkmag is unique because of the incredible group of people behind this magazine. We have a collective experience of 40 plus years in journalism, animation, art, design, film, fashion, graphics, television, publishing, social media, marketing and blogging. We will bring all our experience and expertise into the Slinkmag arena, so you can tap into our unique viewpoint. We believe strongly that you will be interested in the stories we present and that they will help make your Second Life® experience more fulfilling, fun and meaningful.

Be forewarned, however, that Slinkmag is geared to the reader who is comfortable and easy with an R rating. WE ARE ADULT CONTENT. We will not be covering anything to do with child avatars, kid sims, shops or anything child-related. It is our personal choice to cover the grid from our point of view and we are adults, reporting on adult interaction that does not include child avatars.

Our hope for Slinkmag is to bring our readers all that is interesting and fun in this world within a world called Second Life®. Say hello if you see us slinking about the grid and tell us your stories.

Follow @slinkmag on Twitter for real time interaction — we’ll be tweeting from the grid.
