The Craftsman Build-off takes place the weekend of November 6-8, and we have some events ahead of time to whet your appetite! The deadline for entries is 6pm SLT November 5; after that, spaces will be filled if available. The entry fee is $L500 and entry information will be available beginning October 25.

First up is a class on Craftsman style, given by Troy Vogel. This will be held at the Museum on October 25 at 1pm SLT. Craftsman 101 will discuss the American Craft style, its context, uses and key elements. Prospective contestants won’t want to miss this!

The Museum’s Friday Night Fling on Friday, November 6 at 6pm SLT will kick off the build-off at 8pm. The contest will run until 6pm November 8, with Peoples’ Choice voting and formal judging after that. The Awards Gala is scheduled for 6-9pm SLT on Monday, November 9, with trophies and prizes given for the top three pro and amateur builds and a Peoples’ Choice award.
